This market offers more than shopping. It’s a cultural experience. I had the opportunity to float along a river and view Thai artifacts set up like little shops. When you see something you like or perhaps desire a little more time to look at the merchandise, the driver of the boat will stop in front of the shop. This floating market not only offers shops but other boats floating beside you selling fresh fruit, coconut shrimp, chicken and sweets you can only get in Thailand. The prices of this market are high but that is because you are paying for the experience. Feel free to haggle or you can do as I did; buy elsewhere and just visit the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market for the experience and food.
