I have been truly fortunate to have had really great experiences with Airbnb, and my time with
Vysakh was no different. My room at Peponi consisted of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and
a full kitchen. The inclusion of breakfast served as the cherry on top. This Kigali stay was
suppose to be my escape from my top bunk in the room I shared with four people, and the
house I shared with 20; while volunteering near Kampala. I loved that there was hot water, which
is certainly an amenity in certain African countries. Also, since mosquito nets were included, I
did not have to pack mine on my 10-hour journey from Uganda to Rwanda. The staff was very
useful in helping my travel companions and me find drivers to get around. One in particular, by
the name of Fausdin (+250 785 644 381, HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF YOU ARE IN RWANDA),
recommend multiple restaurants, museums, cooking classes, none of which disappointed. From
Peponi, the views of Mt. Kigali were breath-taking, yet humbling, because it is located in a gated
community surrounded by a small village type neighborhood. If you are in the Kigali area and
looking for a pleasant, peaceful place to lay your head that will not cost you an arm and leg, I
highly recommend Peponi. Vysakh and his staff are sure to not only meet your expectations, but
also exceed them. In addition, $100 usd a night for a three bedroom, where would you ever find
a better price for what is offered?
